The conclusion of the 2 part "Eviction" finds Dietrich searching for the identity of his beautiful amnesiac (Donna Baccala), only to be heartbroken to learn that she's a nun ("when I lose, I lose to the biggest!"). Meanwhile, Nick is temporarily in command at the 12th, despite the reluctant presence of Lt. Vogel (John Clavin) from Staten Island. Barney's testimony goes very well, as Lt. Rossmore (Bruno Kirby) of Manhattan South calls upon him to defuse the growing tension with Elena Elizondo (Rosana Soto) and her fellow tenants. In a rare instance of leaving the squad room, Barney talks to those who understand English, then later finds the answer from attorney Clayton Walsh (Dave Madden). Rosana Soto had previously played a hooker in "The Courtesans," and would again in her next and last appearance, "Strip Joint," while Bruno Kirby (first of three) was familiar from nine episodes of COLUMBO.
