Batman, at one point, says, "The best-laid plans of mice and men aft gang a-gley", quoting Robert Burns' poem "To a Mouse". As the Bookworm points out in While Gotham City Burns (1966), the correct word is not "plans" but "schemes", and the second line is "gang aft a-gley". Since Batman's knowledge of literature equals or surpasses that of the Bookworm, he should have quoted the poem correctly.
