'Pt II' is no leisurely stroll. As soon as it opens, al Ghul has risen from the mythological Lazarus Pit our heroes negotiate both a cave-in and an avalanche, and then it's off to the Sahara for fiery swordfights; this thing's packed with action.
And Ra's al Ghul's genocidal wipeout scheme has gotta be the darkest of them all. He's truly a villain occupying the world's stage; and he's not just a cape-wearing mogul, but a frenzied beast whenever he arises from the pit. Batman's always been Gotham-centric for me, but Ra's is as good a reason as any to drag the Dark Knight to other parts of the world.
9/10
