- Captain Apollo: What was your name?
- Brenda Maxwell: [thinking Apollo is her former boyfriend] Amnesia.
- Captain Apollo: Amnesia. That's a pretty name.
- General Maxwell: The Eastern Alliance has launched...
- President: Launched what?
- General Maxwell: Everything they have!
- President: Er, that's... That's not possible. I... I have this treaty. They've signed it!
- General Maxwell: Well, frame it, but hurry.
- Captain Apollo: I came from a world where the people believed that the opposite of war was peace. We found out the hard way that the opposite of war is more often slavery. And that strength alone can support freedom.
- Captain Apollo: Who are you?
- John: I'm sorry. We must keep the amenities short, Captain. Time is running out for us.
- Captain Apollo: What are you talking about? Where am I? What am I doing here?
- John: Oh yes, all recollection of your last visit was blocked out, wasn't it? Very well, you can call me John. And to put it briefly, we're brothers.
- Captain Apollo: We're brothers?
- John: In a way, yes. Of course were several generations, literally eons ahead of you.
- Captain Apollo: I'm dreaming all this, right? I'm in a my ship in a state of flight slumber and when I wake up I'll realize this was all a dream, right?
- John: What an excelent idea.
- Captain Apollo: [wakes up in his Viper] Wow. I'd better give up nightlife or have my oxygen checked.
- Colonel Tigh: [on viewscreen] Commander?
- Commander Adama: Yes, Colonel?
- Colonel Tigh: [on viewscreen] You'd better get up to the bridge right away.
- Commander Adama: What is it?
- Colonel Tigh: [on viewscreen] I haven't the slightest idea, Commander. Certainly nothing that makes any sense.
- Captain Apollo: My face? How is it possible that this Charlie Watts is an exact lookalike?
- John: He isn't. They merely perseive you to look like him. Actually, he's quite an attractive fellow.
- Captain Apollo: That's very funny. You sure have a sense of humor.
- John: In my job, dealing with primitive cultures, it's an absolute necessity.
- John: You presently enjoy a protecting white aura. Let your uniform be your guide. As soon as it returns to normal color, look out, you're in trouble.
- Lieutenant Starbuck: That's close enough! And eh, lower your weapons.
- Officer: There are nine of us to one of them.
- Lieutenant Starbuck: [bluffing] That you can see...
- [Colonial Vipers are transmitting emergency beacons near Terra]
- Commander Adama: Tigh, plot a course for Terra.
- Colonel Tigh: What velocity, sir?
- Commander Adama: Lightspeed.
- Colonel Tigh: Sir, it has been some time since Galactica has been pushed to...
- Commander Adama: Lightspeed, Colonel.
- Colonel Tigh: Yes sir.
- Lieutenant Starbuck: [after his first engagement with the Terrans] I sure hope, I don't have to pay for those machines.
- Commander Adama: It is now seven sectars since the escape of our captives, numbering among them, a group of Nomen and the dangerous soldiers from the Eastern Alliance, whose ominous destroyers apparently cruise these skies in search of any opposition to their political will. I have a recon patrol launched to track the escaping destroyer to its base on Lunar Seven. Once located, we can assess the strength of the Alliance on the outpost and determine our next step.
