When the tonic in Granny's hand bag explodes before she can get it back to the crock, she is seen sitting on the floor inside, putting out her smoldering bag. The front of her dress is smudged, and the left arm of her glasses is on her left ear. Then she comes back out front with Jed, and her dress is a bright clean white, and the arm of the glasses is now off her ear.
When Dr. Stuyvesant opens the door and is leaving Mrs. Drysdale's room, after giving her the medicine to calm her nerves and help her sleep, a small sign on the door is seen, possibly a room number. But then he is seen coming out into the hallway and closing the door behind him, only this time there is a much larger sign on the door.
When Mrs. Drysdale tells the doctor about the goat eating her hat, it is shown in a flashback. In the first shot, Jethro is seen driving with Elly May in the front seat and Mrs. Drysdale in the back, feeding the baby goat from a bottle, with the mama goat just behind her. In the background they are passing (in order) a first national bank, a place called Lanz, a place called Frank Booth's fine footwear, and finally a place called Harry Cooper. The next shot is a closeup of Mrs. Drysdale as the mama goat starts eating her hat, and the background shows them passing the very same stores. Then, when they go back to all of them in a wide shot, different stores pop into the background and they are more distant than the other stores.
