Having grown up on this show, I think the series became even more outrageous when it switched to color. Paul Henning wrote the bulk of the episodes, and this is a winner, and what a cast. Henning must have wrote the part of billionaire inventor Lucas Sebastian for Sebastian Cabot, and looking a lot like Mr. French from FAMILY AFFAIR.
Sebastian is interested in a new environmental project called "undersea farming," which actually is not that far fetched by today's standards. The catch here is that he's on a strict diet. Comes a little mixup in the translation -- Jed thinks he's a dirt poor farmer who hasn't eaten in days!
Good support from popular veteran actor Lester Matthews as businessman Mr. Pendleton. Matthews was a staple in some classic movies and horror films, such as WEREWOLF OF LONDON.
As good as it gets. Two hilarious scenes; Jethro in the kitchen experimenting with food and Jed meeting Sebastian in a locker room, thinking the masseuse is beating him up because he's hiding out.
Mr. Drysdale has a fun scene, demanding Miss Jane return "unused" cavier to the store. She says "its already open." He insists she re-seal it to get his hundred bucks back!
A gotsta see. SEASON 4 EPISODE 10 beautifully remastered color/CBS.
