Based on an afternoon visit with Tabitha and Samantha while Darrin is away on a business trip, Darrin's mother believes that Samantha is trying to restrict her access to Tabitha as she believes Samantha believes she's senile. As Phyllis tells Frank of her thoughts, Samantha, on a request by her father-in-law, can't refuse that request of letting Tabitha spend an entire weekend with them, but also not to tell Phyllis that it was based on his pleading. Samantha knows she can't leave Tabitha alone with her paternal grandparents, in front of who she is bound to perform some witchcraft. So Samantha decides to accompany Tabitha on that weekend away, something she knows her in-laws can't refuse. As Samantha tries to hide Tabitha's hocus pocus in the Stephens' house, further bad blood starts to emerge between Phyllis and Samantha. Throw Endora into the mix, and Tabitha has her own answer in how to deal with the increasing anger brewing between the adults. By the end of the visit, Phyllis' never-ending splitting headache may take one more step into the pain category.
