Natalie J Robb again at best
MarkLynnIreland12944 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is another episode of this police drama show where Natalie J Robb at one of her best, although I can't say if better than in Emmerdale.

Neil is finding himself compromised with falling for policewoman as an undercover journalist and Andrea really didn't mean to lie to him. Instead of reporting and turning her in, he wants her to resign by the end of the day - yet she needs to stay on longer as she wants more information about Kent's background in the Navy.

I really don't like the driving course scenes in Hendon with loser Dan Casper and Amber Johansson (who's unwell with some hangover) I see the driving examiner is later Darren Cutler in Gun Runner storyline with Smithy going undercover. There's also Colin Fairfax at his usual self which involves an Asian customer who bought car from Fairfax's garage owner friend: Chris Payne. Smithers the bigshot reprimands Colin that his racist behaviour isn't tolerated.

There's the whole June Ackland turning to Roger as shoulder to cry on after she wants to prove a point to Jim, yet someone has seen them having their private moment with a smooch.

As for Alan Kennedy trial, Nixon is fairly confident about nailing Kennedy and have him behind bars, yet when she takes stand and gets grilling about how she secured a confession from Kennedy by means of alleged psychological torture. However, Nixon seems to calmly think ahead of whatever questions at her and outmanoeuvre the defence barrister: QC Michael Sherwood.

As mentioned earlier, Andrea still needs to remain longer to get more information on PC Kent's past even from the Gulf War like draining blood from a stone.

For the last few minutes of the episode, Andrea's boss and editor Bruce Malcolm visits with drops the big bombshell to both Superintendent Adam Okaro and Meadows over her exposé of her identity as undercover journalist in early edition of the following morning's newspaper (which could jeopardise her credibility as witness in Kennedy's trial) - Uh oh!

This episode seemed good yet, even "Next time on The Bill" certainly makes the next, and big, episode worth watching.
