Eddie Santini is called to the scene of a car accident, in which a lorry has collided with a car, and sent it, and its driver into a perilous position.
It's a fine episode, it's a well crafted, intricate storyline, it gives you a very dramatic start, and undergoes something of a quick change, just when you start to think that Eddie may have turned over a new leaf, and changed, you're asked to think again.
It's a very well staged scene, that car balancing on the water's edge, that really was well put together.
Eddie really is one of those guys that would have fallen into a nest of vipers, and come up wearing a pair of snake skin shoes, he had the luck of the devil. The first of the slightly crazed characters, he'd be followed by Cathy Bradford in a few years.
Michael Higgs was excellent in the role of Santini, you can't help but wonder where he goes next, and who's going to suffer the fallout.
It feels as though the show is undergoing something of a purple patch once again, 9/10.
