The big day at court has arrived for Sally Johnson, accused for murdering Lee Ruddick, Jack Meadows is called in to give evidence.
First off, how refreshing to have a feature length episode, I think the previous was a Christmas special from two years back, what a shame. However the story of Ruddick warranted a special. Johnson has been awesome since joining, fitting that she gets a special.
It's a brilliant episode, sometimes when the show did a courtroom set episode, you're thrown in without knowing that facts or characters, here though, we know them all, the victim, the families, and we know what happened, that made it so much easier to follow.
You will have needed to have seen the double hander Washback and Kickback to have any idea of what's going on here.
Alan Corduner is terrific here, he fits the part very well, and how wonderful is it to see Death in Paradise legend Danny John-Jules here as Andy Brown (please, please return to Death in Paradise.)
Loved it, 9/10.
