Carver and Lines are out on an obbo, just before picking up a girl for breaking into a car, Carver spots Barton Street Officer John Boulton beating up a suspect.
It's a very good episode, Jim is our in a very difficult spot, on one hans he's doing an awesome job with Tina, and he's trying to do the right thing elsewhere. It's almost as if The Station is split into to factions, the good guys, and Cato's mob.
Boulton is very well remembered, and very well liked, appearing as a DC here in a one off episode, it won't be too long before he'd be back as a DS. He must have made an impression.
Jim comes across well here, straight, honest, and not dodgy. Definitely no good feeling between the two, they made a good choice selecting Carver.
8/10.
