A known, violent criminal has got out, and has old scores to settle, Nick and Cathy get a lead, and she bravely goes after him.
The show definitely went through some big changes in the 90's, not many characters left under happy circumstances. This sees the end for Cathy Marshall, she's been a great character on the show, but it seemed clear that Lynne Marshall was ready to move on, her appearances had definitely reduced a lot, this seemed to be her first appearance for some time.
The episode itself is an excellent one, it's very atmospheric and tense, you will have a definite sense of unease as you watch, you'll be left feeling very cold at the end.
It's fitting that such a well loved regular would get a feature length episode.
