A new face arrives.

Tony is at Hendon, witnessing the final stages for new Sun Hill recruit, Luke Ashton. Ashton is capable, but struggling with the stick he's getting from his fellow recruits.

A good episode, which merely serves to introduce a new character, there isn't a crime as such, for the first time we see a face coming directly out if training.

There are some fun moments, Dave and Reg's squabbles are amusing, as each tries to score brownie points off the other.

Like feels more like a replacement for Nick Slater, he's definitely not a Loxton mark II. The writers definitely needed a rookie cop to put in all sorts of scrapes, Ashton fits the bill perfectly.

Geoffrey McGivern is good here as Inspector Roberts, larger than life, I now think of him as a comedy actor, he has great timing.

Good episode, 7/10.
