A fun seasonal episode.

It's a busy day for the relief, as they're back to a busy day after The Christmas break. The staff at The Station are delighted to see Mrs Bourne appear with a large batch of mince pies, but concerned to hear that she later collapses at home.

I was expecting the previous episode, which went out on Christmas Eve to be somewhat jovial, it wasn't, this one however was.

There's so much happening, there are multiple stories, there's mince pie making Mrs Bourne, the homeless woman and Luke, The Neighbourhood watch meeting, and of course the woman who thinks her house has been broken into.

Quite a few funny scenes, and one to turn the stomach, the latter coming from the moment Boyden goes into Mrs Bourne's kitchen. Like Boyden, I'd have been heaving, that was a grim scene. Most of the humour comes from a hapless, but sweet Luke once again, although the clashes between Mrs Carter Jones and Mr Pearson were funny.

Plenty of familiar faces, Judy Cornwell, Peter Jones, Marcia Warren, Deddie Davies and a wonderful Hilda Braid.

Plenty of fun, 8/10.
