An opera singer accosts Dave in a shopping market, to complain about nuisance calls she's been getting, he is more interested in getting back to Sun Hill to get on the overtime sheet.
Such a good episode, it's a little quirky, it's very funny in part, but definitely has a more serious undertone. The classical music throughout works to perfection, and an ending worthy of an opera scene.
Duncan Lennox, I remember the character very well, a bold Glaswegian with a zany sense of humour. I didn't realise how big a first episode he had, he can do no wrong, almost at the point of being able to walk on water. Actor George Rossi, who sadly passed away earlier this year aged just 60, he was a definite talent.
Annette Badland, she appeared in my favourite episode of the show, Off Limits from 1995, and here she gets another terrific episode, brilliant once again, a major talent.
Great episode, 9/10.
