Hilarious episode of a Great Western

Little Joe is in big trouble. He gambles his money away, he loses something that belongs to Adam, he breaks a window in his own bedroom and then puts Hoss into a contest!! In a rip roaring comedy that the Bonanza series was always capable of, I enjoyed every single scene in this movie! For one episode, gone are the heavy melodramatic writing, serious plot lines and sad outcomes! Hoss and Little Joe do some great comedic acting in this one. Made in 1965, it is still timeless and has every element of enjoyment that the Bonanza series thrilled us with for so many years. This actually comes close to "Hoss and the Leprechauns" show in laughter and good fun.

I wish Hoss had jumped on Little Joe/stolen plotline!

Warning: Spoilers
Our main plot is courtesy of Joe nagging Hoss again. This time he's pushing him to enter/compete in a flapjack eating contest. Joe goes stark raving mad on Hoss and is even controlling what he eats/how much he eats because he's so determined for Hoss to win this contest.

The plot I want to focus on involves broken windows. I was a Little House on the Prairie fan before I started really paying attention to Bonanza. Little House had a similar storyline. Charles is finally getting off his butt and doing something to the little house. Although one could argue that replacing a window is on par with rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Build onto your house, man! You're taking in every orphan in sight! Anyway, Charles is replacing a window but all the windows get accidentally broken and he ends up putting the old window back. So yeah, definitely couldn't help noticing Joe's problems with his windows that keep broken.
