Bones tells Booth that after her parents' disappearance, she was in foster care until her grandfather got her out. Throughout the rest of the series, it is established that she stayed in foster care until she was of age, because she had no family besides her brother. Her brother was too old for foster care and chose to leave rather than take on the responsibility of becoming Brennan's legal guardian. Also, it is established later in the series that Brennan's parents were criminals that had taken on fake identities and left their children in order to protect them. Because of this, even if she had a grandfather, he couldn't have gotten her out of foster care.
When Zack tells Brennan that the remains of the young boy were the smallest he'd ever worked on, she tells him that she identifies bodies after the Waco Massacre, which happened in 1993. In 1.22 (The Woman in Limbo), Brennan mentions that she was born in 1976, which would have made her 17 in 1993. She couldn't have been identifying victims as a senior in high school.
When bones clicks her key fob the back of the car starts to go up so the roof can go inside it but in the next scene the roof is already completely gone.
Dr. Brennan says that she helped identify remains at the Branch Davidian at Waco. The FBI siege at Waco was in 1993. Dr. Brennan was still in high school. In season 5, Brennan and Booth attend her high school reunion for the class of 1994.
Angela describes a video image as "640 by 480 pixels per square inch". In reality, the image would be 640 by 480 pixels; "per square inch" is incorrect. (Pixels per inch would vary depending on the device being used to view the image.)
