Perfect season closure

Well we got the confirmation here that being a parent is not for anybody. I'm often called radical when it comes to that kind of touchy subject but the reality is as cruel and crude than the way a lots of people are acting. I'm sorry but letting your son behind you without any concern on the purpose, that's beyond cruelty. If you're thinking that you'll not be able to take care of your child on the long term then don't even think about considering having one just because silly society is telling us that is the norm and even a duty to have one. It doesn't matter if you're not perfect because first you don't born knowing how to be a good parent, you learning as the same time as your child growns and learns about the world, the only unacceptable thing is to give up on him and excuse my tight mind on this one but if you do that don't ever even consider yourself as legitimate to call yourself human being because you just trashed out you child and your soul. I'm so relieved that Turner got himself that implicated on Shawn's life to the point of letting him enter on his world making Shawn moving to his place. I sense he maybe don't know how exactly he has to take care of him, but for sure is willing to and gonna learn a lot as much as Shawn on this one, he's engaging himself of making a commitment with him and taking responsibilities which is not even his obligation then make him way more legitimate to be Shawn's figure than his own parents.

Whoa!

Warning: Spoilers
This is a powerful episode for Shawn and his development as the series continues. This also only the second time we meet a member of Shawn's family and this particular incident has an overreaching effect on Shawn for the rest of the series. With this episode we see the beginning of Shawn's abandonment issues but also the beginning of his relationship with Turner because as of the end of this episode Shawn moves in with Turner as Chet calls and basically says he's not coming back until he can win Virna back basically saying without actually saying that his search is more important than his son. What bothered me with the arc that started here was that even though Shawn seems to have a large extended family none of them actually step up to take care of him when he needs them. In fact until Jack shows up in season five no one in his family actually seems to care about what happens to him but Jack comes to town and not only does he give Shawn a home he stays around and is there for Shawn from the beginning of season five until the end of the series and while they are never super close they do seem to genuinely care about and love each other. I don't understand the kind of family that can do what Shawn's family does to them because none of them seem to consider what kind of effect these actions have on Shawn's emotional and psychological well-being and these particular abandonment issues follow Shawn for the rest of his life. I think though that Rider Strong does an excellent job portraying honest, brutal emotions with great skill for someone as young as he was at the time.
