Wow. I Love It.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a powerful episode for Shawn especially because he is showing more vulnerability than we've seen from him in a while. I don't really like Cory in this episode b/c as Shawn pointed out when they were fighting he wasn't listening to what Shawn wanted and kept insisting that he knew better what Shawn needed, he takes this way to far when he actually reads Shawn's poem out loud so I think he earned everything Shawn yelled at him. As with most of their conflicts though it was of course resolved by the end of the ep. I think while at this point the boys had been through plenty of things that tested the bounds of their friendship this episode and Teacher's Bet from season one both have Shawn being emotionally smacked down by Cory in ways that by all rights could destroy a friendship it's the struggles that Shawn has gone through that make him a stronger character and as always my favorite. This is another from my list of things Cory does to Shawn that he never actually apologized for. The gross invasion of Shawn's privacy and Cory's insistence that he knew better what was good for Shawn than Shawn was bad enough but when he actually took it that last step over the line by reading Shawn's poem out loud it was too much. This instance takes second as one of the worst things Cory has done to Shawn only second to the Teacher's Bet moment when he called Shawn a Wop b/c while in that instance he was using it to teach a lesson you can see on Shawn's face and hear in his voice how much that really hurt him. However I still love this show and especially love emotionally charged eps like this one.

A love as pure as the white snow

Warning: Spoilers
Shawn is so deep by essence and complex, it didn't surprised me he would feel the need to express all his feelings writing them down. I don't do poetry but I'm bent over everything touching literature and writing and to all people as me it's easy to recognize someone sharing that same passion that's why I'm not surprised. His first poem was really real and heartrending, the way he expressed his intern duality to find and fully accept himself amazed me, he's really talented. He has an artist soul anyway, he's a really sensitive and empathic person and even his interest for photos before he decided to go to college highlighted it, that's the main reason he's one of my favorite character all show confounded. And so his love story with Angela. His poem was a pure ode to her soul and how its beauty enlighten his all being, his own existence, it was so impassioned, so him. His eyes and, in general, face expressions while trying to read the poem, to the moment he catches her eyes you can see and feel, resent all the love, respect and admiration he feels for her, all of that was delivered by his bright gaze in a way transcending everything. There's so much warmth and softness each time his gaze meet her silhouette of whenever he's talking about her or even just listening someone talking about her even randomly. He's so in love with her : they don't even realize it but they complete each other in a really high level, a lot of times they just communicate through their eyes which is rare and they read each other souls, they listen to them and share a really deep and strong bound, palpable, tangible even when they apart to each other. Having a connection that huge, at such level is not something reachable for anybody and it came so naturally between them. Well, I think they found each other and, without even realize it, exchanged a part of their soul to each other, the communication between them is so fluent, so smooth, their connection goes beyond everything around them, the scene front the fireplace highlighting perfectly all my word. They're just outstanding together, dazzling, stunning and my favorites by far. Cory, oh boy he did it again. That's definitely the worst flaw he has for me : giving himself the right to decide for others and, even worst, acting in others place just because of his tight mind thinking he knows better than anyone what's good for others which is insulting as hell. He never gets the word "no" for what it is and that is just too much. Someone's writings are so personal, how could he give himself the right to read them out loud without Shawn's consent after clearly said that he didn't want to and even after Cory putted him against the wall for doing it, he just got frightened as hell and ran away... isn't that enough sign for actually not doing it ?? This time, Shawn snapped really hard on him and it was about time because that's so not the first time he behaves like this, how could you bestfriend can give you that little respect seriously ? Plus, the poem was so personal, god I would kill anyone trying to set me up that dirty. Another record to add in the unforgivable actions Cory did to Shawn during the show list, another crossed line, what am I even saying if he trampled it ! So, how come after all I said that when he checked out on Angela to make sure she was ok and that he didn't mess things up to her too, how come I didn't feel the urge to shut him down ? Why I can't totally be mad at him when it comes to their friendship showing up. I hate that but when it comes to her, she succeed on making me see him as a teddy bear wich he's not and certainly not in that one, pfff crap !
