- TriviaTom Selleck is seen but not heard in the minute-and-a-half scene late in Act III wherein Diane interrupts Laura's acting class for Century Studios' contract players to extend a farewell because she's breaking her contract to marry mobster Nick. This is where the other two thirds of the starlet trio of Diane, Rachel and Paulette - Karen Jensen (as Rachel), Linda Harrison (as Paulette) - make rather embarrassingly token appearances in the episode; afforded a line each. (i.e., Jensen says to Diane, "I can't believe it" and Paulette chimes in with "You look so happy, Diane; what's he like?") Yet that's one more line than Tom Selleck gets to deliver as he sits and stands and sits like the others in Laura's acting clinic. Behind the scenes this was the period when Selleck was a contract player at 20th Century Fox Studios; and here in this "Bracken's World" episode he's seen as a contract player (billed as Roger) at fictitious Century Studios. How frustrating for him, a half day's work yet speechless. At least his desk was positioned directly in front of hot, hot Linda Harrison's and next to another beauty, Karen Jensen's. While many women would chime in "well at least Linda and Karen got to sit so close to that new hunk, Tom Selleck."
