The studio was having Schwartz cut costs the second season by having one child missing in some of the episodes. The episodes were all recorded roughly back-to-back (episodes 32-33 and then 35-37), but then aired spread out among the second season so that it wouldn't be obvious that they were skipping one kid per episode.
In Episode 6 of the season, "Call Me Irresponsible," Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) is missing.
In Episode 10 of the season, "The Tattle-Tale", Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) is missing.
In Episode 8 of the season, "A Fistful of Reasons," Eve Plumb (Jan Brady) is missing.
In Episode 11 of the season, "What Goes Up...", Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) is missing.
Finally, in Episode 17 of the season, "Coming-Out Party", Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady) is missing.
Obviously, Schwartz managed to convince the studio it was a bad idea before he had to make Barry Williams (Greg Brady), probably the most popular Brady kid (or at least the most prominently featured kid on the show) miss an episode.
