I thought this episode was very well done. General Custer's character was powerful and true to the imagination so many people have pictured him. The song he sang at the end of part one was powerful, and part two ended just as powerfully, showing just how far he'd sunk. I thought the actor did a very good job portraying this famous General.
Chuck Connors, of course, can speak so loudly without saying a word at all. His facial expressions alone were worth a hundred spoken words. I've never seen anyone who could let his emotions be known through those eyes and the set of his mouth...VERY talented actor!
Of course, all the other characters help to make this story excellent. I enjoyed seeing Michael Pate as Crazy Horse, and Felix Locher as Sitting Bull. Then of course we were again able to see President Grant!
I'd say this episode is the best of the best! Very wonderfully done!
