Part two of three
planktonrules31 March 2021
Episodes 13-15 of "Brooklyn Bridge" are really like one very long episode broken town into thirds. All concern Alan and Benny falling for the same girl...and lots of other complications.

In episode one, Alan got his friend, Benny, to ask Katie out to the school dance. This is because Katie's parents insist she not just date one boy since she's only 13 or 14...which makes sense. Because she and Alan have already gone out twice this month, to get around this Benny is to take her to the dance and then hand her off to Alan. But by the end of part one, Benny was infatuated with Katie and didn't want Karen, the girl Alan asked out specifically because Benny was infatuated with her! Naturally, this causes a rift in their relationship and Benny manages to behave stupidly...which is part for the course for him. As for Alan, he's stuck because he now has two girls interested in him! In addition to this plot, there's a VFW rummage sale AND Aunt Silvia is not dating Sid, of all people!

As with other episodes of the series, it's very enjoyable and very well written...with some really lovable characters. But because it feels a bit more like filler or a connecting episode, it's not quite as good as the previous or next episode.
