Governor Woodes Rogers knows that the pirate Vane will return. He has to repair the damaged fort. Others in his council want Rogers and his ship to chase Vane. Leaving the island unprotected from Spaniards and other pirates.
It is only the second episode but this lacks both swash and buckle. Less buccaneering but more political shenanigans on dry land with treachery.
There is an emphasis on cunning from Rogers. It just was a bit too dull and cheap looking.
