- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Hey, nice double-teaming over there, whoever you are.
- Brigadier Gordon: Gordon's the name. Thanks.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Have we met, Gordon?
- Brigadier Gordon: I don't think so, Captain. We're from different times.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Gordon, where'd you learn to shoot like that?
- Brigadier Gordon: I've been doing that sort of thing since before you were born, Captain.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: [surprised] You think so, huh?
- Brigadier Gordon: Young man, I *know* so.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: If you call that interference, there's something wrong with your Funk and Wagnalls.
- Major Duke Danton: I don't know what you mean by that, but how'd you like to repeat that in the flight hanger?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: I'd love to.
- [Twiki and Dr. Theopolis are awaiting launch to take on the incoming armada]
- Dr. Theopolis: We're next, Twiki.
- [the tunnel starts lighting up toward them, indicating it is time to launch]
- Dr. Theopolis: Here we go.
- [Twiki hits the throttle, and the starfighter accelerates out of the launch bay]
- Twiki: Geronimo!
- Carl: [Stella plants a bomb in Carl] I'm in danger! Assistance! Assistance! Danger. I am in danger. Assistance! Somebody come! Please! Too late. Goodbye, Mallory.
- [explodes]
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: You ready?
- Colonel Wilma Deering: Mm-hmm.
- [flips Buck over her shoulder]
- Colonel Wilma Deering: How's that?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Fine. Just fine.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: Not too hard?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: No. Oh, no.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: Maybe I shouldn't have asked you to teach me judo until you'd fully recover from teaching 20th-century battle strategy.
- [With limited available fighter pilots, Twiki and Dr. Theopolis are assisting in a battle against a squad of enemy fighters]
- Twiki: [spotting an enemy fighter in his sights] Eat lead, sucker!
- Dr. Theopolis: Lead? What lead? Twiki, what *are* you talking about?
- Major Duke Danton: So you're Buck Rogers, huh?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Since the day I was born.
- Major Duke Danton: I beg your pardon, Colonel, but, uh, he's no captain.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: That's not quite true, Duke. While Buck has formally declined to join the Defense Directorate, he does help us out on occasion.
- Major Duke Danton: Declined to join? Now, would a big, brave hotshot like yourself do something like that?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: I didn't think I'd like the company.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: Stargate 4 coming up in 30 seconds.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Means we'll be home in 26 minutes.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: That's correct. Space travel isn't what is used to be, is it?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: It certainly isn't. It used to take us days just to get to the moon. Now if you blink at the wrong time, you miss it.
- Major Duke Danton: Well, we'd better get on our survival gear on.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Yeah. Otherwise, we'll look like a couple of brown-and-serve rolls at sunset.
- Major Duke Danton: This thing itches like crazy.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Take it off if you don't mind getting third-degree sunburn.
- Major Duke Danton: You probably feel right at home wearing yours.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: That's right.
- Major Duke Danton: I've seen pictures of people and how they dressed in your time.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Yeah, well, your half-baked 25th-century historians got things so messed up, they don't know the difference between a cowboy and a traffic cop.
- Dr. Theopolis: Careful. Careful. The filament you're soldering is the precise weight and thickness as the one you're replacing. Be careful, Twiki. It was very difficult to make.
- Twiki: [chirping] Get off my back!
- Dr. Theopolis: I'm not on your back, Twiki. And please concentrate on what you're doing. If anything, I'm on your front, and I can't get off without your help. Where have you been coming up with such expressions?
- Twiki: My good buddy, Buck.
- Dr. Theopolis: I should have known. It's hard to believe that Captain Rogers learned to speak on the same planet as the rest of us.
- Carl: I owe you a great deal, Theopolis. Thank you.
- Twiki: [chirping]
- Dr. Theopolis: You mean, you owe Twiki and me a great deal, Carl. And it's quite all right.
- Twiki: [chirps, walks out the laboratory]
- Dr. Theopolis: Another one of Buck's colorful phrases, Twiki?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: [to a Nomad] Hey, creep, I bet you wear that mask 'cause your face looks like it's been through a meteor shower!
- Dr. Theopolis: Certainly. I must say, Twiki, that was the best idea you ever had. I must be rubbing off on you.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: If you're listening, Kaleel, the three of us would just like to say we didn't care much for the sauna.
- Stella Warden: That's Rogers!
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Ah, Stella. You're so beautiful when you're angry.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Rogers to leader. Do you read me? Buck Rogers to squadron leader. Rogers to leader. Do you read me?
- Major Duke Danton: I read somebody, but that somebody's flying an enemy ship and leading another one.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Come on, Duke, it's me.
- Major Duke Danton: If it's you Rogers, who's the juice?
- Dr. Theopolis: The what?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: O.J. Simpson. I told you all about him out in the desert. Running back out of USC. He played for the Buffalo Bills.
- Major Duke Danton: Well, what are you waiting for, Captain Rogers? Get your butt in formation.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: I take it you're referring to mine as well, Major?
- Major Duke Danton: Wilma! I mean, Colonel Deering.
- Colonel Wilma Deering: Right on both counts.
- Twiki: What do you say, Buck?
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Twiki?
- Dr. Theopolis: We're both here, Captain Rogers. Welcome home, as it were.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: Well, thanks, Theo.
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: [re Saroyan and Julio] Our friend has been a little too long in the trenches. I'm not crazy about his foreman either. If looks could kill, rigor mortis would be setting in.
- Ryma: [to Buck] Oh, one more thing. I was supposed to be yours for the night, and when they see you leave without me...
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: I'll go out the window, you just stay here.
- [smiling]
- Capt. William "Buck" Rogers: I have a reputation to uphold too, you know.
