Only Calamity's eyes are fully open.

In this episode Bill Jr comes to an aid of a man, Bob Barton, and his lovely niece, Alice Barton, while they are being chased by robbers named 'The black Ghost'. During the gunfire, Mr Barton gets shot and Billy is able to stop the runaway wagon before any harm and befall on the niece. When they take Mr Barton to Judge Wiley's store the outlook is grim. Barton gives the Judge his last will and testament in case he does not make a recovery.

With the niece, Alice, in distress she is glad that the Judge is keeping the record but it is not all what it seems. There is more to Alice than meets the eye and the sad thing is none of the men see the problem. Only Calamity has a clear head in this story.

There is nothing wrong with the story or acting. The viewer has to remember that this series was made for children and the theme of all the shows are rather candy-coated. With that is mind, this was one of the better shows we have seen so far in the collection. At least it is more believable than others.
