- TriviaJoss Whedon liked the character of Vampire Willow when she was first introduced in The Wish (1998) so much that he wrote this specifically for her.
- GoofsThere are two cases of consequence-free living in this episode: first, Wesley arrested Faith in the previous episode, and Faith escaped by threatening to kill one of his people, but now they're working together on the slayer skills test as if none of that had happened. Second, Vampire Willow kills someone at the Bronze in front of dozens of witnesses, but this somehow causes regular Willow no legal problems; even if the police had accepted the "that was actually my evil twin from another dimension" defense, Willow would still have had to answer for aiding in a fugitive's flight (back to that dimension).
- Quotes
[the gang looks at the vampire version of Willow from an alternate reality]
Rupert Giles: It's extraordinary.
Willow Rosenberg: It's horrible. That's me as a vampire? I'm so evil, and skanky... And I think I'm kinda gay.
Buffy Summers: Willow, just remember, a vampire's personality has nothing to do with the person it was.
Angel: Well, actually...
[pauses as Willow and Buffy look at him]
Angel: That's a good point.
