Sad Case
Hitchcoc16 January 2021
A little black girl is collateral damage during a drive-by shooting into a house. The father is a youth leader and, of course, is devastated. Warrick Brown is a close friend and a former kid affected by this guy, and he gets deeply into the case--a bit too close. I've found that when someone allows emotions to take over, damage is done to the case. A second case is the death of a man who is working on some computer equipment in a tight hallway. Like so many cases where there doesn't seem to be any evidence, when rocks are overturned evidence begins to appear.

Bad Lucky and Violence
claudio_carvalho15 December 2022
Matt Phelps sends his two kids to bed, and out of the blue, there is a drive-by shooting and his daughter Aimee is shot and killed in her bed. Grissom, Warrick and Capt. Brass investigate the case and Grissom learns that Matt Phelps is Warrick's mentor and friend. Warrick's investigation is conducted based on his emotions instead of on the evidences with serious consequences for Matt and a suspect. Meanwhile, Nick and Sam Vega investigate the mysterious death of a boss of a four-men Internet service company in the air-conditioned servers' room. They find many secrets in the team but no suspect and no murder weapon. Until Nick observes the duct of the air-conditioning.

"Random Acts of Violence" is an episode of "CSI" where bad lucky and violence happen. The lead segment shows also how a CSI investigator may affect the whole investigation when he is affected by emotions. Grissom gives a class about how to handle the evidence. In the other segment, Nick is able to find how a man was killed in a locked room with one exit only. My vote is eight.
