- The boys use extraordinary techniques to rehabilitate a recently released petty thief. Unfortunately, Benny has other ideas.
- Toody and Muldoon try to help the often-incarcerated-but-lovable Benny adjust to life outside of Sing-Sing by letting him move in with Toody and getting him a job. Life outside requires adjustment, and Benny is having much difficulty. He needs his room stripped down to prison cell austerity, and can only cook for hundreds of people at a time. His job as a bank messenger sends the precinct into a squad-wide worry fit, and they track his movements with everything from mounted patrols to helicopters to ensure Benny doesn't backslide. Frustrated by life outside prison, Benny tries to confess to a robbery he didn't commit. He finally leaves the Toody home, determined to return to his cell at Sing-Sing.
