Feeling the Emotions of the World
claudio_carvalho11 April 2007
Prue is led by Belthazor to a building that will be demolished, and she contacts the shut-in Vince, an empathic man that feels the emotions of the whole world. Prue casts a spell to release the power from Vincent and she actually absorbs his empathy ability. Later the Halliwell sisters and Leo disclose that Vince is actually the evil demon Vinceres that was trapped with the empathic power by Father Thomas to protect the world.

"Primrose Empathy" is a good episode of "Charmed", with a well resolved supernatural story. The romance between Phoebe and Cole is promising, and it seems that the demon Belthazor is having some sort of love feeling for Phoebe. My vote is eight.

Title (Brazil): "A Empatia de Vince" ("The Empathy of Vince")

The One Where Prue Becomes An Empath...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode. It's not one of my favorites, but it's still very good.

In this episode, Prue is being unknowingly led by Belthazar, to an empath. She tries to get rid of his pain, but the spell used, gave her his empathic ability. You're probably wondering why Belthazar would care about an empath becoming human again. Well, he doesn't. He cares about the demon that the empath really is. You see, the demon, Vinceres, was actually cursed by a real empath, to feel the suffering of his victims. After Prue gets the power and they discover what he really was, they go and find the true empath, who has been living in a mental hospital. He's trapped, all alone, on Earth, with no powers, eternal life, and no reason to be. How sad. Vineres goes on a killing spree, trying to find and end, the empath. When he finds him at the Halliwell Manor, he fights Prue and she is able to defeat him by astral protecting herself, inside his body, to make him feel all that pain. Even though, ten minutes before that happened, Prue wanted to die because she couldn't handle hearing everyone's pain.

Overall, I give this episode a 9 out of 10.

Prue is led to an empath named Vince who feels emotions and can't handle it. Prue relieves him of his pain and takes on the gift herself. It turns out he's a vinceres demon cursed to stop his rampage. Now Prue must channel the gift and stop his rampage.

While the premises is interesting it drags in spots yet the fighting sequences have definitely improved. The lightning has reached a nice balance between light and day. The music really moves you and seems like effort was putting into make a great touching story.

While not a favorite of mind it true my captures how great charmed has become and delivers in spades. More surprises are to come with this leading the way so stay tuned.
