Once again, Cheers engages in competition with Gary's Olde Towne Tavern. The problem is that Gary's bloody Mary mix is the best there is. So Sam and the gang try to find out what it's made of. When that fails, they try any means they can to undercut the guy. I loved how there were all kinds twists and turns in this episode. Well done.

Bar Wars II: The Woodman Strikes Back (#7.10)

Warning: Spoilers
And it is time for the bar wars again. The bloody mary competition is coming up and Gary has been winning it for the past 4 years. Sam wants to win it again and tries to get the recipe for the Gary's bloody mary. After that the both bars go on with a long line of tricks against each other to stop the other bar from winning the competition.
I wonder if they are going to have a bar wars episode in every season now. It could get old, but I must say with this episode it was still very funny. It is a bit weird how they keep to interchange Gary between the episodes but not too bad. And I can't help it but Gary seems so much smarter than them.

Gary Won't Win!

A beautiful opening: Lilith confesses Frasier's sexual fantasy: he makes her prepare cinnamon toast and strawberry milk and insists on calling her Mommy while they have sex. And yet somehow we never hold this against Frasier... go figure.
Cheers competes against Gary's Old Towne Tavern in the annual Bloody Mary competition. Joel Polis returns as Gary, so it seems at this point as if he and Robert Desiderio are going to tag-team the role... odd for a series that was so good about continuity. The gang sends Woody to Gary's as a plant and engages in a series of scams in order to sway the contest their way.
This episode is fun while you watch it but has absolutely no lasting value. The moment it's over you'll forget it ever existed- much like this review!
