Diana is about to move in with Frasier and she begins to have allergic symptoms: coughing, sneezing, vocal changes. They are convinced it is Frasier's dog, Pavlov. So Sam takes the dog, but the problems continue. What could it be? That is the basic storyline. There is a secondary plot. It is Carla's birthday and the guys give her gifts. With amusing results.

Diane's Allergy (#3.10)

Warning: Spoilers
Diane and Frasier move in together. They are happy about it, but Diane starts having allergy to his dog. Sam thinks it is pseudo allergy as she doesn't really want to live with Frasier. Frasier gives the dog to Sam, but the allergy doesn't stop. So Frasier thinks they have to end it. He wants his dog back but Sam doesn't want to give it up, when they fight Diane walks in and thinks that the fight is about her, suddenly the allergy disappears.

Great idea of the story and pretty funny. I just feel bad for the doggy who had to be given away but Sam should be a great owner too.

The small story about Carla's joke gifts was fun as well!

"It's The DOG!"

If there was any doubt that Frasier was a good addition to the cast, it's gone by the end of this episode. This could only work as a Sam-Diane-Frasier episode, and each player brings something to the party.

Diane moving in with Frasier seems to upset Diane more than it does Sam, and her anxiety is manifested as an allergy to Frasier's dog Pavlov. Diane goes through a series of sniffles, sneezing and stuffiness, culminating in a bizarre voice change. (Long adds funny voices to her comedic reepertoire here, and her timing is perfect.) Frasier tries to be understanding of Diane's plight but can't hide his annoyance. Sam, of course, is smug about the whole thing.

The subplot involves a series of gag gifts for Carla's birthday. It's nothing special, but it's pretty funny.
