- Sam gets a call from a woman named Judy Marlowe, and agrees to meet her at Cheers. Sam recalls how he dated Judy (who was a divorcee at the time), who had a daughter named Laurie. Sam Is pleased to see Judy, but when he sees that Laurie is all grown-up and very attractive, he secretly begins trying to find a way to get with both of the Marlowe women.
Meanwhile, Rebecca has been asked to host a children's party, and upon Frasier's advice, asks Woody to play the role of the party clown. However, hours before the party, Woody gets the chance to play the role of Marc Antony with his theater group, leaving Rebecca in the lurch. At Woody's and Carla's insistence, Frasier takes Woody's outfit and his props. However, after they leave, Woody remembers that a red handkerchief in the outfit will make the clown suit's pants fall...and Frasier has been said to be wearing some skimpy new underwear that Lilith brought back from France!
Meanwhile, Sam has been wrestling with his conscience about trying to date Judy's daughter, when Laurie shows up asking for Sam! The guys at the bar eagerly wait to see how this will play out, when Laurie explains that she didn't tell her Mom she was seeing Sam, and asks him a question: will he give her away at her upcoming marriage? She explains to Sam that she's been dating a guy for 2 years, that reminds her of him. Hearing this, Sam reluctantly agrees, though both sad and relieved that his pining for Laurie now appears to be over.
Back at the children's party, Frasier has a lukewarm start, but soon ends up entertaining the children. Rebecca also informs Frasier that Woody called, and cautions Frasier not to pull on the handkerchief. Frasier explains he's glad to know this, as the french-cut underwear he was wearing previously was too constricting, and he's been 'au naturale' throughout the entire party. The host's daughter then invites Frasier and Rebecca to meet her Mother. However, when the Mother sneezes, Frasier immediately pulls out the handkerchief...leading to quite a shock (off-camera, of course).
