Diane wants to make Frasier feel more confident about his profession and asks Sam to pretend he is a problem so Frasier can give him advice. But Frasier diagnoses him as being in love with Diane. And when Diane and Sam have a conversation about what their conversation would be like they have a fight when Frasier comes in. but he still says they are both in love with each other.

Ah good episode. Frasier's character is absolutely great and he was making me laugh a lot. Also loved the scene of Diane and Sam in the office after Frasier leaves. Them being quiet and the way they looked was great acting.

Frazier is seriously depressed. He has given up his practice and is drinking way too much. Diane talks Sam into pretending to have problems so Frazier can counsel him. Of course, we know this is doomed from the start. But what transpires is utterly hilarious. The comedic geniuses of all these characters and their impeccable timing was wonderful. After Shelley Long left, it was never quite the same. Anyway, Frazier's character is so multi-dimensional that he adds that incredible spark to the entire show.
