"Charo Takes Over" opens with Raul's Aunt Charo putting her concert tour on hold to spend a week with her nephew. Ed protests her intention to help his garage: "I am going to build your business up from the ground down!" A chance remark from Ed about opportunity knocking gets a priceless response from the buxom blonde: "the problem with you is that you didn't listen to opportunity's knockers!" One look at her scanty coveralls and Ed's almost convinced: "why don't they cover something?" Enter Pat Morita as Pat Yamaguchi, come to pick up his car, recognizing the world famous Charo and asking her to perform in his night club, which she calls a 'cheap tonky honk!' Having turned his perfectly good car into a complete wreck, Charo resorts to working in his night club after all just to pay him back, Ed joining her as a hoofer from vaudeville days. More flamenco guitar, Gabriel Melgar's real life musicianship on marimba, and the farewell appearance from Della Reese, after 27 episodes.
