Rodeo performer Tom Sutton [born 1938] entered films in the mid-sixties as a a wrangler and in 1966 secured the job of Stuart Whitman's stunt double on the new western series 'Cimarron Strip'.In January '68 he married Jill Towsend ,one of the stars of the show. The series was canceled in 1968 and in July of that year Sutton was seriously hurt in a rodeo accident.The couple divorced in 1969 and after his recovery Sutton got work on the series 'Gunsmoke' and with the Disney Studio.
A number of scenes throughout the episode contain score tracked from the "Gunsmoke" episode titled "Major Glory" (scored by Morton Stevens), beginning with the night time jail sequence cut to from the card game.
