"Life is for Living"
JordanThomasHall10 May 2019
While Tom is away on business for the weekend, Norman babysits Eddie. Tom is leery of Norman inviting over his bachelor friend, Rodney River Jr. (Rat Packer Sammy Davis Jr.). Rodney arrives as an overly careful, health-conscious, milquetoast insurance risk statistician. Rodney's fears, including a goldfish food allergy, shuffles around his sleeping spots, awakening Norman and Eddie. The next day, Eddie prepares to leave on his usual Saturday football game, but Rodney doesn't like the responsibility, stating 21.2 percent of children have a broken bone before age 10. Norman feels he must go along with Rodney and has Eddie play inside with a neighbor instead. Hours later, Norman and Rodney begin a worried dragnet when they find Eddie never showed up at his neighbor's. They reach the elevator and when the doors open they find Eddie asleep on the floor. They rush in to check on him, as he became stuck inside, and now so have all three. Rodney begins quoting grim, though unlikely statistics. Through the experience, Rodney has a chance to view himself and consider worrying may not be the best outlook for life.

Moral theme: worrying
