Margaret Terson is on trial, accused of allowing a Communist East German business delegate to see important, classified documents that she removed from her place of work.
A very good start, this show continually offers something very different, it's a fine start.
This could perhaps be the most ambitious episode I've seen so far, you could question why such a huge case would be tried in a Crown Court, but it makes for very interesting viewing.
Quite a high brow affair, I imagine fans of the BBC2 political dramas would enjoy this, shades of Tinker Tailor, Soldier Spy.
Morris Perry was excellent as Commander Riley, but it's the regulars, Charles Keating and Bernard Gallagher who impress most, the pair seem to grow and grow into their roles, they are both brilliant.
Interesting to think at the time that Germany was split into East and West.
8/10.
