Enjoyable.

This episode of "Danger Man" is set in Hong Kong. It seems that the broadcasts from a Voice of America-like group into China are somehow being used to transmit secret anti-Western messages. In particular, they are using some English language class broadcasts. What this code is, who's behind it and how to stop it--all that is assigned to John Drake (Patrick McGoohan). Drake has to get hired to work with this radio show--which is surprisingly easy. Next, he needs to scatter bait and see if there are any takers. Naturally there are, but this also might result in Drake's demise.

I think this episode works a bit better because the American guy (Gary Cockrell) is pretty funny. Otherwise, it's a pretty ordinary episode--worth seeing not certainly not a must-see.

Drake takes a job in radio

Warning: Spoilers
John Drake's Mission: Discover how secret information is being transmitted into China, find out who's behind the operation, and put a stop to it.

I quite enjoyed The Actor. It's hard to explain, but the episode has a different sort of feel to it. Drake gets to do some real spy stuff, decoding secret messages. The cast in The Actor is good. Rupert Davies, Gary Cockrell, and Julie Allan give strong performances. The finale is as tense and suspenseful as you could hope for in a 25 minute television show. The one weakness for me was having to watch McGoohan play the ridiculous drunk once again. Still, I'm rating this one a strong 6/10.

John Drake is a Radio Star, in Hong Kong

This show is what "Danger Man" is all about. Drake meets his old friend Colonel Graves (actor Rupert Davies) in Hong Kong. In the short 25 minutes of air time, Drake creates a staged street fight (hand to hand combat, great throwdowns), Drake spends hours decoding a Red Chinese secret message, and Drake's life is on the line.

Actor Gary Cockrell, as character Al Jason, is superb in his part. He adds a very nice touch to this story. Actress Julia Allen, as character Suzan Kent, is intriguing and alluring.

You can sense from the start who is sending out the messages to the Chi-Coms, you think you know who the culprit is... but the writers add a great twist at the end of the show.

Danger Man is a classic show; this is one of the best episodes!
