Lieutenant Machin has the same journey as Brian, and is placed under his guidance. Brian upsets the apple cart when he tackles a bomb deemed non essential.
It's a slightly unusual format, different in the fact that all of the drama comes at the start of the episode, the latter part is more cosy drama.
I like that we get a bit of Brian's background, he naturally seems very affluent, we can see by his mum the family that he comes from.
It's nice that Brian has an equal as it were, he's felt like an outsider, from both wings, above and below.
Watch out for Deborah Watling, the much missed assistant of Patrick Troughton in Dr Who, her voice was unmistakable.
Not as dramatic as the opener, but it's engaging enough, 7/10.
