Kathleen O'Hannrahan recites, "Needles and pins, needles and pins, when a man marries, his trouble begins". This is a paraphrasing of an English nursery rhyme, which wasn't first published until 1842, approximately fifty years after this story, in Nursery Rhymes of England by James Halliwell-Phillipps.
