Warning: Spoilers
Pop and Charlie go to an auction seeking bargains, Pop is an old hand and knows it like the back of his hand. Unfortunately for him it's Charlie's very first auction, and will Pop be glad to make it his last?

Ma and Marriette head to Ramsgate and meet up with some French fishermen from Brittany, they come back home. with French holiday brochures.

When Charlie sees them he realised that they featured, a part of France he visited as a nipper.

On the farm it was virtually monsoon weather and Charlie, convinced the family that it never rains in that part of France.

All the Larkins simply can't wait to leave rain drenched Kent, but when they arrive in sunny Brittany it's to discover that they have brought the weather with them.

Charlie tried to regail the Larkins with his childhood memories, but for them it's all rather a bit of a culture shock.

Luckily for everyone the sun shines the following day, and they can all enjoy a sojourn on the local beach.

The following day Pa has to take the roller to the garage but when he, expects to have to divvy up the mechanic waves the fee.

The crest on the car door convinced the garage mechanic that Pop was a Milord, so much for the 'Vive la Republic'.

Charlie tells the family about a local religious festival that Ma wants to see, but they all have to travel by bus.

Ma also attended the church service, but everyone else wanted to visit the shops.

Ma meets up with the Bretton fishermen who gave her a boat trip around the bay, and she ended up cooking their food.

Primrose meets a French lad Marc Antoine, and got invited to dinner with his family.

News travelled fast and when Pop arrived back at the hotel the Patron, had given him and Ma her bedroom to stay in.

Pa Larkin and family go to France. An excellent chocolate box tale in an idealistic world.

Del Boy goes to France and ITV laughed all the way to the bank.

Pop and Del Boy really were interchangeable especially as the BBC used to have Christmas specials of Only Fools and Horses were they would move out of their patch. Amsterdam one year and Miami Twice.

Charley has been to France before and has wonderful memories. When the Larkins arrive, the weather is awful and the grumpy receptionist is not pleased that Pop and Ma are not actually married.

Marietta wows the local young men in their budgie smugglers much to Charley's annoyance.

Still it is pleasant viewing and the Larkins never come across as fish out of water as they all seem to charm everyone, apart from the grumpy receptionist played by Charles Kay.
