Storm in a dinghy

Warning: Spoilers
The Jerebohm's are trying to settle down into their new country idil, with Pop taking full advantage of their restocked pheasants.

Mrs Jereboahm persuaded her husband to hold a dinner party at Bluff Court, to meet some of the local neighbours.

The Jerebohm's dinner guests were Pop and Ma Larkin and Mr and Mrs Perigo. Pop had already met Mrs Perigo on a previous occasion.

Corinne Perigo is something of a man eater, and used to getting her own way. For some unfathomable reason, she makes concerted attempts to cultivate Pops attention.

Pop has told the Jerebohm's that a boat went with their property, and he would drop it off for them when it was ready. When pop delivered the boat, he invited Mrs Jereboahm to join him in a river jaunt.

However all does not end well for Pop Larkin, as Mrs Jereboahm is nervous of disembarking onto the land.

Her discomforture is deliberately misinterpreted by Mrs Perigo, who is delighted to be able to drop Pa Larkin into the mire.

Mrs Perigo takes great pleasure in being Mrs Jerebohm's guardian, through the ensuing Court case.

Luckily Pops brother Perce arrived on the scene and visiting the courtroom, Perce recognised Corinne Perigo.

However he did not know her by that name, but he had seen her in the Marble Arch Hotel in the company of man not her husband.

When the Green Woods Laugh: Part 2

Warning: Spoilers
The Jerebohms have moved into the manor and found out that local staff are hard to find. Their maid /cook is from Austria. The lake has no trout and as for pheasants. It looks like they have been had by Pop. Still the Larkins are invited to a dinner party that the Jerebohms have thrown but it ends up being a bit of a disaster.

Meanwhile neighbour Corinne Perigo has an eye on Pop Larkin. However when Pop helps out Mrs Jerebohm from a rowing boat. The cast of Acorn Antiques accuse him of sexual assault.

Pop stands trial at a magistrates court and it is on the day of Mariette's wedding. The Larkins have gone to a lot of trouble preparing for the wedding and it could all go to pot.

Luck would have it Uncle Perce is attending the wedding. He just happens to work at the hotel in London where Corinne Perigo stays with her fancy man.

It is a pretty silly episode and also even in bad taste. I doubt if this could even be made today in the same way. From Pop facing untrue allegations and then taking allegations of sexual assault so lightly. The Larkins do not cancel the wedding, such a serious matter is heard in a magistrates court and Pop defends himself. The case collapses due to the identity of Corinne Perigo as she stays in an assumed name in the hotel when she commits adultery. Nothing to do with the actual events itself that let to the charges.
