Tiger Lil

I have been looking for the title of this episode of "Death Valley Days" for years. I remember watching it and thinking that Mariette Hartley was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I always thought the title was Diamond Lil. Imagine my surprise when I finally found it on IMDb. Now I need to fine out where I can see it. Is there any outlet or store or television/cable channel that carries old episodes of "Death Valley Days"? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out. I think that this series was probably as close to the real stories of the old west as Hollywood could make it. They always cleaned up the cowboys too much and the women could certainly not have afforded the ball gowns that they wore. Just the same I enjoyed the series very much. Thanks, Karen

Lady With a Past: Robert Taylor searches for his lost love, Tiger Lil.
AFarley773 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Death Valley Days ran for years. The early seasons were introduced by "the old ranger", later seasons were introduced by Robert Taylor or Dale Robertson. GetTV has been running the early seasons with the old ranger. I too have been looking for this episode for years, it was extremely well written.

In Lady With a Past Robert Taylor tells Tiger Lil that even though they are deeply in love, he doesn't believe they should marry. She would never be happy in his world, she is too flamboyant and used to the attention and adulation she has received in the dance hall. He tells her goodbye and rides out of town.

He quickly regrets his decision and embarks on a search to find Tiger Lil. Year after year he returns to the town where he told her goodbye, not realizing she has so completely transformed herself into a nondescript person that she has been there all along.

Sept 18, 2017 Grit TV channel (over the air) is running this episode on this Friday, Sept 22 at 3:30 pm EST Hope you see this Karen
