After a shootout with a gang of thieves that left a security guard dead.
Lt Jim Conway finds himself confronting his own past. He needs to find Joe Novak (Sheridan Comerate) who was involved in the robbery and managed to escape even though he got injured.
Novak and Conway grew up in the same neighbourhood. Both were involved in some wild times but Conway was afraid to break the law. Eventually he became a policeman.
As Novak searches for Conway, he confronts Novak's family who claim not to know where Novak is. Ann Novak his sister is caustic towards Conway.
However Conway decides to use his police experience to draw out Novak.
Well if Novak was an old lag, his family certainly were not. They might as well held Conway's hand and led him to Novak's hiding place.
I also wondered if Conway was the only policeman to come from a rough neighbourhood.
