Anson "Potsie" Williams directs Murder at the Telethon, the third episode of season 1 of Dignosis Murder. It just happens Anson starred with Scott Baio (Dr Jack Stewart in Diagnosis Murder) in the long running Happy Days, and Anson moved into directing, so good on him for this.
This episode has a galaxy of legendary talent...Dick "Eight is Enough" Van Patten, his sister Joyce (they play a married couple), Dick "Laugh-In" Martin, Dom "Blazing Saddles" DeLuise.
Dick Van Dyke and Delores Hall display their real life talents in this episode...Dick's dancing and Delores's singing. It's a shame Victoria Rowell wasn't on hand to display her very talented ballet skills.
One icky moment was when Monty and Sarah Emerson, played by Dick and Joyce Van Patten, respectively, explain their alibi. Monty and Sarah proclaim they were "making whoopee". Oh dear.
The final scene was moving seeing the main cast (unfortunately Dr Bentley wasn't present at all in this episode) along with the Telethon supporting acts. I thought Michael Tucci is related to Stanley, but not the case.
