I love the scene where Rob goes to the financial head to find out if Buddy and Sally can get a raise.

Flowers are used to describe the economic breakdown ---Dick van Dyke is great as usual in his reaction. (Mel Cooley makes a funny, brief entrance and exit with a great line.) This ep I think is in the top 20 of this series. Another example of being in the hands of smart and funny comedy writing/acting.

I'd like to pay you more, but...

When the story begins, Sally and Buddy are angry after reading an article in "Variety". Why? Because "The Alan Brady Show" is one of the top rated programs on television and yet the article claims folks writing a much lower rated show are being paid more. Oddly, this doesn't seem to bother Rob, but he ends up taking the cause up the chain of command because Buddy and Sally refuse to work until this is rectified. But instead of arguing with Alan about this, he's sent to see the company's accountant who does nothing but confuse Rob with mumbo jumbo. Will they get the raise?

This is an enjoyable episode and is well worth seeing. Roger Carmel makes a nice appearance and the story is unusual...a major plus.
