Richard Dawson at his best!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of the show 'Hogan's Heroes', in which Richard Dawson plays the role of Corporal Peter Newkirk. I recently looked online for other shows that he's been in, and a friend of mine gave me the link to this episode on You Tube. I watched it and laughed my head off! Richard Dawson is so FUNNY in it! This is a hilarious episode, in which Dawson does his famous 'bird impressions' scene. He plays an actor named Tracy Rattigan that all the women are in love with, and he shamelessly flirts with Laura through the whole episode...right in front of Rob. There's a funny scene where Rob actually pours champagne over Rattigan's head! The next day, we find out that Rattigan had done the whole thing as an act--and has done it several times before to get laughs. LOL! Too funny! Richard Dawson did an exceptional job in the role, and this is a definite must-see for Dawson fans and fans of the Dick Van Dyke show.

Dawson's performance can be summed up by the title of a good DVD episode..'Offensive, obnoxious egotistical..'. An awful entry.

A bad episode in most every way.

Richard Dawson guest stars on the show this week. His character is called 'Tracy Rattigan' and he's taking over for Alan for a couple weeks. This means the cast will be working with him to write the show...which, at first, seems like a neat idea. However, Tracy ends up being a complete jerk...a womanizer who hits on every woman he meets. He's particularly enamored with Laura...and when he comes to the Petrie house, he behaves like a boorish jerk. Rob responds appropriately.

This is a very badly written and acted show. First, Richard Dawson's acting is about as subtle as a stripper doing her act at a Baptist barbecue! It's awful. Second, the script makes no sense at all. Third, it's just not funny.

Awful

This is the worst episode of the series. Richard Dawson plays an obnoxious, offensive boor constantly making passes at Laura. Not the least bit funny.

Racy Tracy Rattigan(Apr 3, 1963)

Ya - ee - ya - ee. What the bleep were they thinking. Cringe humor? Boy could they get away anything in the 60s?

I said my piece yo. Why the minimum required characters. 600 is too many words to talk about this horrible episode. In case you missed it (good for you) the plot is as follows:

Plot

Tracy Rattigan, the show's guest host while Alan Brady's on vacation, is a charming but incorrigible flirt, the extent of which Laura and Rob discover to their discomfort.

Alan Brady's worst performance not that I have seen anything else of his. When Tracy was all over Laurie Rob was behaving like cuckolder simp.
