Not very exciting sadly.

Dixon is accompanied by PC Clyde, to attend the house of Mrs Binney, who's had stones through her windows, it turns out the landlords are trying to force her out of her home, a place that's set to be demolished, to make way for a new shopping centre.

A fairly interesting storyline, one that would have been very relevant back in 62. Not one to set the pulses racing I fear, but nicely made and acted, Fay Compton did a fine job as Mrs Binney.

It's a bit of a plodder, very low on crime, very high on socialising. The plot is interesting enough, but the direction it goes in is so drab, way too talky.

From the limited number of episodes, it seems that the show focused very much on current social issues, and I imagine in the early sixties, that there were plenty of eviction notices given, as The City underwent massive regeneration.

Quite awful really, imagine being told that you were being made to leave your own home,

I wouldn't mind a flat in Wembley.

Bit of a sleeping pill.

5/10.

Once again Ted Willis delves into social issues. The redevelopment of post war London.

Housing estates getting knocked down to build shopping precincts. Elderly folks getting relocated miles away in high rise blocks.

Not enough council housing in inner parts of London.

PC Dixon tells the story of Mrs Binney an elderly woman with no relatives who is reluctant to move from the area.

Her area is getting developed and she has no desire to move to Wembley on a third floor flat. There is no space for a house in the vicinity. The waiting list is too long.

Eventually she does move into an old people's home. She seems to be happy there but there is a spate of thefts.

Mr Caldicott an elderly resident takes the blame after the police set a trap. Green dye is emitted from the next theft. Mrs Binney had a fair idea who the actual culprit is.

A bit slow to get going as it is mostly an issue based story on the plight of the elderly. Mr Caldicott's family only want to know him when they need something.

Look out for a young Nichola Clay as one of the cheeky youths.
