It's not that the criminal was THAT dumb. It wasn't a mistake that he cropped that referral card. He dropped it on purpose. He wanted to get caught and go back to prison because he couldn't make it on the outside world. It was baseball season and he wanted to play on the prison softball team. They had this pitcher coming in who was supposed to have a great arm.

Not bad...not great.

This was a decent episode of "Dragnet", but it was a bit anti-climactic, if you ask me. Friday and Gannon are investigating a safe burglary and notice that whoever did it was very professional--they obviously knew what they were doing and were very experienced. However, later, the place that was burglarized calls the detectives--it seems that this pro left some very incriminating evidence after all. However, they need to find him--as he hasn't reported to his parole officer in a long time and his current whereabouts are unknown. Additionally, the case seems too easy to solve--no one would be THAT dumb...or would they? Overall, not bad but not particularly memorable either. It's worth seeing--just don't expect it to be among the best of the series.
